3 Great ways to get pass school filters

When i was in school, there was NO way around any of the bans, i know 3 students who were extremely smart, actually hacked into the schools main server, disabled everything, and within minutes, a backup server hosted in a government office loaded backups of all the data, and that server took over, while the school server rebooted itself... it's crazy... they then tried to hack that government server... and then were facing a lawsuit, my old school filtered everything locally, and when the local system wasn't working, the government's system kicked in and took over, it was literally impossible to get around, no proxies worked, no IP's worked, no VPN's worked, nothing at all...pulling the plug when it was loading the settings didn't work either, it would lockup and reboot after the error message was shown...Talk about restricted :P

Pretty cool, but my school doesn't allow you to install anything without administrative powers. Even the teachers here don't have that kind of power. Also, my school blocks ALL proxies & anything with the word forums [not forum though].

Some of you may want to use the following method....

[This may sound ridiculous, but it honestly works]
[Our school uses symantec for the filtering system]

When you first login to Windows, you enter your user name, then your password, and click login.

You then get the "Loading Personal Settings" "Applying Personal Settings" etc stages.

Unplug the ethernet cable that is connecting your computer to the network AS SOON as the "Applying Personal Settings" stage pops up. Wait for a while until it comes up with an error message, plug the cable back in, and press ok.

Thats it!

[You may also notice that some times when you do this any restrictions the school puts on your workstation such as not been able to access control panel are no longer present..... but you still cant change any settings.]

I have tried this before at my other school and it worked, but now the school i am at currently has wireless. All the computers run on wireless and their internet source (router) is really hard to get into. Sucks for me i guess =(

Woah, that's nice! However, some proxies don't support YouTube and therefore they wont play the videos.

LMAO, that would suck if you'd done all of that work to get into the school server and turn off everything, only to have everything locked down again by the feds! :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

ok so how do you get past a blocked website that you have to sign into, for example facebook. you can use a proxy to get to the main page but then you can't not login. I also tried to use a batch file i created that invovled nslookup, etc. but for facebook the IP does not work.

My school uses a modified version of Bess and uses EVERY blocked including the "Uncategorized" block. I hate the techies at my school they drive us all up the wall with there restrictions on the internet. My school has gone so far as to actually give you Wednesday school (after school detention for 2 hours). For playing any type of game. That is ridiculous, but I'm going to try these and see if a single one works hopefully I can use one and have some fun with fiber optic internet.

my school uses the same except if you have a web service that allows you to create a proxy then you can always run it through there because some private websites aren't blocked.
