on my smf forum, if you're not logged in, it's just a blank white page. whenever im logged in it's fine, but when i'm logged out its just a blank white page, and you have to refresh a bunch of times.
can anyone help me?

Check the free hosting forum for a topic called SMF blank page or something related to SMF, it's a sticky, and if you've done the changes it says in that sticky, it should fix your problem. I'm not sure where it is but it is in one of the Free Hosting forums.

You can also find the option to turn off hostname lookups within the Features and Options area of the admin pannel. I just disabled the hostname lookups because its easier then changing code and it works. If you post your version of SMF I can give you more detailed steps as to how you disable it.
This is the settings path for SMF 1.1.5 or 1.1.4, check the checkbox.
Admin section -> Features and Options -> Layout and Options -> Disable hostname lookups?
