How to use WordPress Postie when server 500?

Question on WordPress - Since server down - Emailed posts will be missing?

How do I get a postie plug-in to post all of the missing emailed posts in WordPress after the server has been down? Do I have to do it all manually or is there a way to get the emails to post that have already been sent, but NOT posted?

In other words, I will have posts that don't make it to the blog b/c of 500 server errors - so how do I get those to post after 500 error resolves?
