Has anyone used Elgg?

Hello, I found a free social-network software called Elgg (www.elgg.com)
and am wondering if anyone has any experience with it? Good? Bad?

Yes I use Elgg on a paid hosting package. I've been unsuccessful installing it here. I thought I was it on Softaculous but not today. Maybe there were issues with it.

It is good. I've set up different groups for my students to post homework and new vocabulary. Each group can have it's own isolated blog, discussions and pages.

You can download Elgg from www.elgg.org and access the community.
