    mod_mono on absolut

    Hey X10,

(this thread was originally on 3rd party apps...I moved it...actually copied it , because I can't close it over there...here)

Let me start out by saying that you guys are doing a great job. Thanks.

I've run into some trouble. I had some ASP.Net Scripts that were working fine up until a week or so ago. They've since ceased functioning. Anything and everything .aspx related returns "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the WebPage". I realize that mod_mono controls .aspx functionality.

I've taken Hue's "Hello World" .aspx and tried it here @ my localhost. It works perfectly! I've also tried the link to his HelloWorld script...it too, works perfectly. However, when I attempt to run the script located @ http://peteloaf.net/helloWorld.aspx, I'm receiving the above mentioned message.

What's funny is that I get the same message, even if I make up an .aspx file name by which to navigate to...eg....bugsBunny.aspx....even though the file doesn't exist on my site. I'm thinking that anything and everything with an aspx extension is getting kicked to the side.

I am using the web.config file suggested by Hue.

Is anything happening on absolut that may explain this?

Any help that X10 (or anyone else for that matter) may provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Again

    Re: mod_mono on absolut

Hue's HelloWorld works on Lotus, which means Mono's probably broken on absolut. Check for interesting entries in your error logs in cPanel. Most likely there's nothing you can do, and you'll need to open a support ticket.
Be sure to read all pages linked in this post; they have further information that should prove useful. When asking for help, make sure you follow Eric Raymond's and Jon Skeet's guidelines for prompt, accurate responses. Please answer any questions I ask; they're not rhetorical (probably). Any posted code is intended as illustrative example, rather than a solution to your problem to be copied without alteration. Study it to learn how to write your own solution.
