Secure Problem

I tried to add ssl using cPanel and I generated the private key, csr, and crt. When I try to go to the site using the http secure protocol it gives me an error message dev-project.x10hosting.com sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error code -12263. Does anyone know what the problem is?

The Server has a dedicated IP(s), you have to have a dedicated IP.

The sever has many dedicated ips, and you need to be allocated one of the dedicated ips, i don't think we do that for free users, because each IP costs money.

Yep, Corey is thinking of making a shared SSL cert for the server (https://cossacks.x10hosting.com/~yourusername/) to be secure (if you're on the free server).

Yeah I understand that it costs money. I guess right now it just isn't possible with a free account.

Yes although im sure if you private message Corey you might be able to work something out for cheap money but i am not sure, but since this has been solved it is being closed.
