Reducing comments in pinned posts and "feedback"

Corey and team have pinned important posts. The problem i'm having is that the pinned posts have so many replies and some members post "thanks" "great job" and does not relate to the post. Can we remove them? Or at least stop others from posting in the pinned posts?

Then there's the problem of people posting their problems in feedback. Maybe the word feedback means different things to different people. Some think that feedback is where you report your problems. Other think it's a place to share their thoughts on the hosting. Maybe there's another word? How about "post your hosting problems here"

Yeah, maybe it's just because members are too lazy to read the pinned posts in the first place.

edit: yes i understand that there is a huge community building up here at x10 and there can be as much as 500 posts per hour. Am happy with the response rate of the mods here.

What you've said is good. About removing wasted posts. But that's not the point, all you have to do is read the first page while ignoring the rest of it. As for users who post their problems in the Feedbacks section, I guess they just don't understand the meaning of Feedback.

You could say that's a way of spam, this is why x10 tries their best to demote it and you know you can report anyone at anytime who you think is abusing the TOS of x10 by simply clicking the "x" button on their post and submitting a good reason for reporting them to a moderator. Some people don't have time to go around the forums deleting silly posts.
