Re: Windows Vista: The Ow starts now.

Vista is GREAT I cant understand why people talk so much trash about MS they are always on the cutting edge of technology, and the world is not perfect. As for your old programs running on Vista key word here OLD! if you are going to upgrade then upgrade already and yes some programs may not run under Vista but I have personally found that most all of mine have ran great on it.
If you would like to run Vista without the BS follow these tips.

Vista Home Premium or better with a ground up install (no upgrade) do it rite for Pete sakes!

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8mhz or better I have not had luck with AMD:thefinger

A good motherboard with Vista approved chipset

At least 2 Gigs of ram Vista likes ram and will always use about 40%--50% of whatever amount you have but it is working to better your experience

No less than a 256MB video card

    Get on with it

I've heard a story about Vista on a 1GHZ processor and 512MB RAM - the bare minimum.

I don't like Vista - it uses up way too much RAM! I have Windows Vista but i have sold it now, i prefer to use Mac, and i have a program called virtual pc that lets me run Windows XP on Mac so i dont need anything else.
