I just bought this one as the router our ISP sent us only has 1 port for computer usage (the rest is for TV and telephones). My computer can access the Internet to it, but not my moms...

I've set it up like, the Internet router in port 1, my computer in port 2, and her computer in port 3.

I read somewhere that some sort of settings needs to be made at some IP (192.168.1.1), but I only get "The server at 192.168.1.1 doesn't respond"...

Any ideas?

I am running similar network with my friends...

I bought 1 Ethernet Switch with 8 ports. I connect them as router in port 1, my pc in port 2, friend1 in port 3, friend2 in port 4..

My IP is 192.168.1.2 , Friend1---> 192.168.1.3 , friend2 ---> 192.168.1.4
All other setting is same on each PC...

I just figured, I don't have any router :<.I'm gonna return it to the store and buy a router instead

yeah, just get a 4 port wireless N router or something :P
