    Free Advice If You Implement

    Hello Folks,

I first started on the internet about 10 Years ago and built a database to 250,000 subscribers.

Was rated top 8000 sites based on traffic by pcdata, top 10 producer and Cj.com and about.com offered me $250,000.00 for my site.

I am open to answering questions here for free if you implement my advice without whining and complaining.......

Personally I think that is a great offer.

Just keep the requests orderly and in the thread.

Someone ambitious can compile the thread and sell it.

    40 view and no requests?

Come on guys... there must be one question.

I am sure that everyone isn't at the profit level they want.

If you prefer I can charge my regular rate :dunno:

Dude. This is the internet. We hear "too good to be true" offers everytime we refresh the page. And your credentials -impressive as they undoubtedly would be if verified- doesn't necessarily mean that you could use the same tactics and succeed now.

Just 2 posts on the board means you came here with an agenda. I'm sure the other 38 (I looked at the thread twice) are hanging back and thinking "what's the catch?", just as I am. The 2 posts aside; there's 2 other "hang on a moment" warnings for my ninja senses about your original post:
    1) What's a high-power chap like yourself doing around a free hosting forum when you should be drinking champagne from your gold cup and monitoring your personal stack of servers?
    2)
I am open to answering questions here for free if you implement my advice without whining and complaining.......
. Not liking that bit- it comes over as quite hostile.

So. Marketing then? Blagging Google in some way, I should imagine. Whitehat, I would hope. Genuinely new would be too much to ask for.

    So my question is this:

What, in your opinion, would be the maximum-yield, minimum investment cohesive strategy for marketing a site and building a solid user base? And having achieved that; what is the optimal method for converting that into a revenue stream?

Ah, OK, that was two questions.

Thanks for the post......Here you go......

    1- That's a story for a different forum

2- About the hostile sounding quote.... I type 13wpm so I keep things brief.......and I have moderated forums before.... most of the time people prefer to complain rather than work.

3- Hmmmmm...... asking alot for free.......:eek4:
The best answer is...... It depends.....

But without knowing more about your site I would say a joint promotion with complementary noncompetitive products and services....

This first step is to make a list of products and services that your customer would use before, during and after they purchase from you.....

Post the list and then I'll walk you through the next step.

I guess it was too good to be true ;-) and now you know why I don't hang around forums much.....

Paying clients tend to appreciate value.

It was nice while it lasted.... Moving my site to a hostgator....
